Your website design project will be in great hands. It is our job to anticipate what users might need to do on your website and then design a clear, dynamic and creative interface that facilitates those actions.

We have many years of combined experience in visual design for websites and have built all kinds of websites from small business sites to large organisations. We understand the importance of knowing when to follow trends and when to use creative conceptualisation to develop something completely unique and custom to your audience.

Platforms we use

The two primary content management systems (CMS) we use are WordPress and Webflow. We will recommend which of these platforms will work best for your project. In general, WordPress is best for highly functional websites that might need a blog, an eCommerce store or other special function. Webflow is better for beautiful brochure-style websites.

 

 

Typically we only work with professional designer/developer platforms rather than DIY platforms such as WIX and Squarespace. We believe DIY platforms are great if you don’t have much budget and need to build something for yourself, but our specialty lies in creating custom websites that will work harmoniously with the rest of your brand assets; with consideration for strong branding, user experience, search optimisation, page speed and avoidance of templated designs that can make your business or organisation look generic.

What does a digital project involve?

Website and other digital projects typically go through 3 stages:

1. Scoping and planning

We begin by asking for a comprehensive website design brief from you, which you can download here.

  This will help us gather everything we will need to know about your project and help us propose a scope, timeline and cost estimate. This will also cover any functionality you will need in the development phase.

2. UX design, wireframes, content and visual design

You may require our UX design service (especially for larger website redesign projects) which will need to be completed before any development can commence.

We can also provide the services of content writers, copy editors, photographers and illustrators within our collective if needed, or you may choose to provide all website content yourself.

Once we have wireframes and content ready, it’s time to custom design your entire website using any brand assets and style guidelines you have already available.

3. Development and launch

Our refined development process insures that everything runs smoothly, all deadlines are met, and the project scope is nice and clear so there are no nasty surprises.

We utilise the best tools available for project flow, task allocation and communication such as Slack and Trello; and our wonderful project manager Caitlin will look after you and keep you up to date throughout the process.

SEO and website maintenance should not be an afterthought. We consider, in-depth, your team’s ongoing administration needs and how you plan to market your website digitally.
