Logo design and branding process

1

Requirements, discovery and quote

Contact us with your project details and we’ll discuss your objectives, audience, and brand requirements. A discovery call can be arranged to define goals, scope, and design direction. You’ll then receive a tailored quote for sign-off before we move forward.

2

Concept development, presentation and refinement

Initial logo design concepts are created (typically 2 or 3), showing variations in typography, colour palettes, and layouts. These are presented for your feedback and refinement, ensuring alignment with your strategy and brand vision.

3

Delivery of final logo files

Approved logo files are supplied in all required formats – such as EPS, PNG, JPG, and SVG – ready for use across print, digital, and presentation platforms. A simplified submark or favicon can also be provided for web if required.

4

Brand guidelines and collateral

Development of a basic or comprehensive brand guidelines document covering logo use, colours, and typography, with collateral examples or templates for internal documents, presentations, and social media to support consistent rollout.

5

Review and revisions

Our standard package includes up to two rounds of design feedback on all collateral, ensuring brand guidelines and materials are clear, practical, and aligned with your organisation’s needs.

6

Brand rollout and final delivery

All approved brand assets are supplied in the required formats for print, digital, and internal use. We then design any additional stationery, collateral, merchandise, or digital assets to ensure your identity is applied effectively. Eco-printing services are available on request.

FAQs

How long does a logo design project?

Most custom logo projects run for about 3–4 weeks, depending on the scope, number of concepts, and revision rounds. If you need additional collateral or brand guidelines, the timeline may extend to 6–8+ weeks based on deliverables.

Do you provide a brand style guide?

Yes. Every logo and branding project includes either a basic or comprehensive brand guidelines document to ensure your identity is applied consistently. This covers logo use, colour palette, typography, and examples across applications at a minimum.

What if I need more revisions than the package includes?

Our standard logo design or brand refresh package typically includes up to two rounds of revisions on all deliverables. If you’d like further refinements, we can add them at our hourly design rate, no problem!

"Working with Ethical Design Co. was a rewarding and inspirational experience. They were responsible for the content development, website design and web development of the Brotherhood of St. Laurence's 2023 Annual report. They also produced a 52-page full report and 4-page summary report version and managed the printing of everything including our financial report. The result was spectacular! I would definitely recommend them and look forward to working with them again."

"Sonja has worked closely with me in designing our circa 30-page pitch deck, investor summary slides, and other multi-page presentations needed to pitch key partners. Sonja is an incredible designer, but she's also a great instructor too. Most importantly, Sonja is a pleasure to work with. There’s no BS, she is prompt and hardworking. Her performance has been consistently high and turnaround quick whether she’s working from home base in Australia or remotely. We will continue to use EDCo.'s services for the foreseeable future."
