What does an annual report design project involve?

Once you have all the relevant information at your disposal, including:

  • Complete content draft: a healthy record of all the organisational achievements for the year including goals, missions, customer stories and key performance indicators (KPIs) met
  • Financials: a compilation of the quarterly financial data and other vital data and statistics
  • Brand files: brand guidelines, logo files and image library

The fun begins! It’s our job to transform the raw data and information into a polished company narrative, a report that is easy to read and engaging. Report design projects can involve several key steps and a variety of deliverables, commonly including:

  1. Design of infographics and visual elements to present data in an easily understandable format.
  2. Sourcing high-resolution stock photographs and vector graphics to enhance the visual appeal of the report.
  3. Assistance with copyediting to ensure the text is clear, concise and effectively communicates the company’s message – please note copyediting is a secondary service we offer on request, however, availability is limited during busy times of the year.
  4. Design and production of digital or printed reports, summary reports, brochures and other collateral materials to distribute online or in person to stakeholders. Digital reports may be static, interactive or web-based.
  5. Development of a sustainability strategy to ensure your report is produced in an ethical and environmentally responsible manner. This step includes designing consciously so as to reduce ink usage and page bleeds, for example, and implementing sustainable print management practices to minimise the environmental impact of printing and distribution.
