The OnRoute App is a new travel app that allows users to share their journey LIVE in both media and route form, unlike any other travel app currently on the market.

Document every part of your journey on your virtual map, share live pictures with your friends and family or use the new Explore function to connect with other travellers and help plan your next trip.

OnRoute App Design

The brief

We were given the task to redesign the OnRoute App to make it easier to navigate, with better UX and more features.

We worked on:

Wireframes with UX strategy notes to help aid the visual design process
Development of an interactive prototype using Adobe XD + testing
Visual design of the entire look and feel of the app based on our insights

The result was a cleaner design with a more beautiful interface, new icons, and some added complex functionality.

How is this ethical?

OnRoute is aimed at conscious travellers, digital nomads and backpackers who are not interested in package tourism that can be harmful and destructive to cultures and sacred sites.

The app is perfect for the travel community to stay in touch with friends and family at home, making it easy to follow other people’s adventures and stay connected.
